“Museum on Wheels” is a unique Youth Skipper Flotilla society (YSF) initiative that displays Singapore’s maritime artefacts around the island, especially to schools and public places. More importantly, it provides youths with the responsibility in transforming a used conventional marine container into a “Museum on Wheels”. Four schools were selected for this pilot project with themes of their choice. The themes were on the development of the port of Singapore, discovery and trade, navigation and seamanship and early Singapore. The students with their supervisors and mentors spent 6 months researching and finally putting it all together. They were from Bendemeer Secondary School, Jurong West Secondary School, Juying Secondary School, and Raffles Institution.
